Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you use our website and join our classes, workshops and events.

Last updated: 1 November 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By using utkalvisualart.com, or by enrolling in any class, workshop, camp or event run by Utkal Visual Art Foundation Trust, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or our services.

2. About us

Utkal Visual Art Foundation Trust ("we", "us", "our") is a trust based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, that promotes visual art and culture through exhibitions, art education, camps, workshops, seminars and community events.

3. Enrolment and registration

  • Submitting an enrolment or registration form is a request, not a guaranteed seat. A place is confirmed only when we confirm it to you and, where fees apply, payment is received.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information, and keep it up to date.
  • For learners under 18, the form must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on the learner's behalf.
  • Batch timings, instructors, venues and class content may change when needed, and we will let you know as early as we can.
  • We may decline or cancel an enrolment, for example if a batch is full or these terms are breached.

4. Fees and payments

  • Fees for each class, workshop or event are shared with you before you pay and are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR).
  • Fees must be paid by the date we specify to hold your place.
  • Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
  • Unless stated otherwise, fees do not include art materials, which you may need to bring or buy separately.

5. Conduct and safety

  • Treat instructors, staff, volunteers and other participants with respect. We may remove anyone who behaves in a harassing, abusive or disruptive way, without refund.
  • Take care of the studio, equipment and materials. You may be asked to pay for damage you cause.
  • Some art materials, such as paints, solvents and tools, need careful handling. Please follow instructors' directions, and tell us in advance about any allergies or conditions that may affect participation.
  • Parents and guardians remain responsible for children's behaviour and for arranging safe drop-off and pick-up.

6. Photography and media

We may photograph or record classes, exhibitions and events for use on our website, social media and promotional material. If you or your child should not appear in such material, tell us in writing before the session and we will respect that as far as reasonably possible.

7. Intellectual property

  • The website's design, text, logos and layout belong to the Trust or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.
  • Artworks and photographs shown in our galleries belong to their respective artists or owners. They may not be reproduced, downloaded for commercial use, or altered without the artist's permission.
  • Work you create in our classes remains yours, but you allow us to display and photograph it for educational and promotional purposes, unless you tell us otherwise.

8. Shop purchases

Prices, availability and descriptions of items in our shop may change without notice. We may cancel an order where an item is unavailable or a listing contains an obvious error, and will refund any payment made. Colours may vary slightly from what appears on your screen, and original artworks are unique, so small variations are natural.

9. Third-party links

Our website may link to third-party sites and services, including WhatsApp and payment providers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices. Your use of them is subject to their own terms.

10. Disclaimer and liability

  • We work to keep the website accurate and available, but provide it "as is" and do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
  • To the extent allowed by law, the Trust is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or participation in our activities.
  • Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.
  • We are not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought to our premises.

How we handle your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date shows the latest version, and continued use of the website or our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
